Serving Our Savior / SOS

 

    The First Presbyterian Church Babylon first opened its doors on the Serving Our Savior- S.O.S. feeding ministry in the fall of 1992. Since that time, we have provided thousands of hot meals, while providing companionship and effort to meet the spiritual needs of the Babylon community. We meet every Thursday evening in the Christian school gymnasium at 5:30 – 7:30 PM.

 

     As a faith based Soup Kitchen, S.O.S. welcomes all in the community to: share a hot meal, and to meet in fellowship. It is our primary focus to insure, that the basic human needs of our guest are met. Winter clothing is dispensed to anyone in need of: a warm jacket, a sweater, or pants and toiletries are provided for anyone in need. All this is done in an effort to fulfill our Lords commission to help all in need.

 

     As a Christian organization our emphasis is to help meet the spiritual and nutritional needs of our guest. All are invited to join with us in the worship of the Lord. At S.O.S. we strive to insure that all of our guests are made aware that they are a welcomed member of our Christian community.
